We have been accepted to Vine, but now what?
Welcome to the Vine Academy Family! There are a few next steps:

After enrollment, what should I expect?
After you have enrolled your child in classes, you can expect a confirmation email from Vine which will show the selections you have made. About one month before classes start, you can expect to hear from your student's teachers.

Does Vine keep transcripts or attendance records​?
Vine is not a public or private school and does not keep a record of attendance or student transcripts. As a homeschool family, you are responsible for this. If you would like assistance with student transcripts, contact Dena Bless.

Is there a fee for adding or dropping a class?​
For the first two weeks of classes, there is no fee to add/drop a class. After two weeks, there will be an added fee of $25 per added or dropped class. This fee will be added to your invoice.

Does my child have to vaccinated to attend?
Vine is not a public or private school. Therefore, we do not require vaccination for your student to attend classes.

Does Vine provide books for my child?
Vine has a small library of books available from generous families who have donated. Vine offers these books to families on a first come, first served basis. Another great way to get books at a low cost or free, is to check with other Vine parents.

Does Vine work with Ocean Grove?
Vine Academy does not work directly with Ocean Grove. Vine teachers and admin will only communicate with the parents/guardians of the Vine enrolled student.

Will Vine provide an IEP for my child?
Vine does not provide an IEP for students. If your child needs testing for an IEP, check with your homeschool charter. Vine teachers are not required to make accommodations for a student with an IEP.

Will Vine make accommodations for my student?
Vine Academy teachers will often make accommodations for their students as we are a small homeschool community. Our teachers can only help your students if you have communicated these needs to them.Â

Can my student test out of a grade and advance?
Students are able to test out of a grade to advance. Students must show consistent ability in their efforts and their grades. Student's teachers will be involved in this recommendation so that your student is set up for success.

How does Vine accommodate food allergies?
While Vine is aware of food allergies on campus, we rely on students and their parents to be aware of the potential exposure to their food allergy. If your student has an extreme food allergy, they should carry an EPI pen and let Vine admin and teachers know in case of emergency.
